iOS Developer (Part-time)
Location: San Francisco, CA

We're looking for a smart and experienced iOS Developer to join The Know team. This is your chance to be an integral part of a one-of-a-kind app that fulfills an egregiously under-served demand in the dating marketplace.

We're The Know. As the Napster of dating intelligence, we facilitate the anonymous peer-to-peer sharing of critical information that helps people make smarter decisions about their current and future relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype and build new features for The Know iOS app
  • Be a senior contributor at the architecture level and coordinate efforts of small off-shore team
  • Solve problems with creative, out-the-box thinking and push boundaries with what's possible with iOS
  • Write and ship quality, testable code
  • Delight The Know user community

Skills/Requirements

  • 3+ years experience building, maintaining and releasing native iOS applications
  • Proficiency in Objective-C and Swift
  • In-depth knowledge of common iOS design patterns, memory management, UX and best practices
  • Experience working in a highly-collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, organization and intellectual curiosity
  • Desire to be a part of something big, really big
  • Ability to commit up to 25 hours per week

Nice to have

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field though nothing beats a great portfolio
  • Prior startup experience
  • Full stack development experience
  • Ability to work on Android

Location

Bay Area preferred though not necessary. There's lots you can do with Skype.

Compensation

Marketing Intern
Location: Anywhere, United States

Get ground-level experience at an exciting Silicon Valley startup that's disrupting dating as you know it. We're seeking a motivated, part-time intern to execute social media marketing, influencer outreach and community management as we expand our footprint and break into new geographic and collegiate markets.

This is not a typical internship role. You'll have great responsibility, creative and strategic freedom, and the ability to impact the success of the company in a highly measurable way. You will work closely with the CEO and Head of Marketing in the execution of your role. If a rockstar, your participation could lead to full-time employment.

Responsibilities

  • Have fun...lots of it!
  • Drive app downloads per defined user acquisition goals
  • Raise brand awareness and grow The Know's social media presence on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
  • Help identify relevant media contacts, partners and journalists inclusive of blogosphere and mainstream media
  • Deploy and manage paid ads campaigns on Facebook, Google, Twitter and other key services

Skills/Requirements

  • Current iPhone user
  • Unbridled ambition, smarts and a sense of humor
  • Excellent communication skills and intellectual curiosity
  • Familiarity with major social media sites with respect to marketing and community building/management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice to have

  • Currently enrolled in a major college or university
  • Experience working with fast growing start-ups

Location

This is an unpaid internship though you'll get a bunch of swag, invaluable experience and lots of high-fives (even if virtual). We are happy to work with your school’s program for internship credits.
